Truckee River - A Cloudy Day and Some Micro Mays

Been weeks since I've been on the river, used a months worth of hall passes to go on a baller week-long fly fishing trip to Christmas Island (post and video to be forthcoming).  Anyhow, the Truckee is in great shape, flows in the 4's and good bug activity on cloudy days, try a micro mayfly or midge pattern.  Today was a short mid-day session, lost a third fatty bow.  Fish are all pretty nice this time a year and bows are getting their spawn colors.

Nice fish...you and Gill have got great blogs going; keep it up. With the generally warm, sunny weather expected to finish off this winter, it looks like the fishing will only get better. Do you use a head cam to get your video footage?

John, thanks for the kind words. You guided me for my first Little Truckee experience ever back in Sept 2000, you cause this Truckee River addiction!!!

Regarding gear, all these poses are on a Sony TX10, Gil has the same camera (coincidence), I build a custom bracket the I bite for my footage. Check out my newest video (link below), its on my Christmas Island trip, for this video I used both the Sony but also, 80% of the footage was from my new GoPro Hero 3 w/ a chest mount.
