The ice is gone, flows have been steady and the water cleared up. Less bugs than normal but usual winter suspects are still around. We found some surprisingly plump and health bows sipping midges and annelids. To be this healthy they must have found some deeper water to hold in during the lean summer/fall months.
Dan with beaut.
Tied onto one of the best bows ever on the Truckee, lost him after a few minutes, he just threw it. Very encouraging sign that some of the big boys are still around.
